(Isa. 2:22)
The wicked have always entered into compacts and alliances designed to protect them in their frauds, crimes, or secret machinations. Isaiah warns that such man-made citadels of security will mean nothing in the hour of God’s judgment… . Mankind is never more than a breath away from death, and therefore any institution of security which depends upon man can also disappear in an instant. The only sound security is living so that we can enjoy the eternal blessings and security of a loving Heavenly Father.
