Swords, spears, plowshares, and pruning hooks represent instruments of war and peace. There will be an abrupt change from present political machinations: no more war!In preparing for that great day, we as individual members of the kingdom should also beat our swords of personal revenge into the plowshares of peace and reconciliation. The work of the Prince of Peace is to bring peace to nations and to individuals.
The word “come” in verse 5 is a gentle invitation to walk in the Light, to walk with him.
