Transgressions and plots planned in secret, and carried out under the cover of darkness. They are in the same class as murder and abominations. They are to be destroyed. But there is also another class of secret works. Our Lord says: "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men. ... But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth." Again: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites ... but pray to thy Father in secret; and the Father which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly." (Matt. 6:1-18)
