In conclusion, Jacob quotes the invitation from the book of Isaiah for all to partake of the Atonement. In comparing the Book of Mormon text with the King James text the Book of Mormon is more complete, another evidence of “plain and precious things taken away from the [Bible]” (1 Nephi 13:29). Nephi later paraphrases the first verse of the above quotation, in the same context (2 Nephi 26:25). The Atonement is available to us without material cost, and will satisfy the hunger and thirst of our souls.
