Are we resurrected before the Final Judgment?

Thomas R. Valletta

“The united spirits and bodies of men become incorruptible and immortal, having a perfect knowledge like unto us in the flesh, except that their knowledge shall be perfect. … Men, having become immortal, must now appear before the judgment-seat of the Holy One of Israel to be judged according to the holy judgment of God. Those who are righteous shall be righteous still, but those who are filthy—the devil and his angels—shall go away into the torment prepared for them, which shall be likened unto a ‘lake of fire and brimstone.’ (2 Nephi 9:15,16; cf. Alma 34:35; Alma 40:13,14; D&C 76:36–38.)” (Sperry, Book of Mormon Compendium, 169).
