Narrative: Nephi begins recording Jacob’s sermon with no transition. Up to this point, Nephi has at least sketched a connection to provide literary cohesiveness among his themes but begins this one without any concern for the reader’s ability to follow him. The conceptual continuity is in the overall theme of 2 Nephi, not in the relationship between the smaller units.
