These two verses continue Nephi’s plea but as an exclamation. Nephi has structured his psalm as pairs of problems/solutions: (1) blessed/beset with temptations; (2) praises for blessing/laments for temptations; (3) plea for the removal of temptation/confidence that they will be removed. Now, Nephi expresses the wide context of his hopes: that the true desires of his heart (exaltation) will exclude temptation.
