This passage continues the quotation from Joseph of Egypt, to whom Moses was a figure of the future. Verse 10 clarifies that yet another lost prophecy of Joseph contained Moses’s name and his role in leading Israel from its Egyptian captivity. There is no way of knowing if the brass plates included Moses’s name or if Lehi (or perhaps Joseph Smith) supplied it.
