“By Fire”
The destruction of the enemies of the people of God by fire is a direct reference to the destruction of the wicked at the Second Coming (see 2 Nephi 30:10). As the earth was baptized by water in the days of Noah, so it will yet be baptized by fire and the Holy Ghost so that it might commence its millennial Sabbath in purity.
