With two exceptions, only Nephi uses the “great and abominable church.” (The exceptions are Jacob in 2 Ne. 6:12 and D&C 29:21.) Almost certainly, both of these exceptions were influenced by Nephi’s language.
As Nephi discusses his understanding of the last days, he refers again to his tree of life vision, using it to explain the future.
