“A Marvelous Work”
Elder Bruce R. McConkie stated, “The marvelous work spoken of is the restoration of the gospel, including the coming forth of the Book of Mormon” (New Witness, p. 560; see also D&C 1:4; D&C 6:1; D&C 11:1; D&C 14:1). This restoration of the gospel would include the making known of the covenants that God made with father Abraham concerning his seed (see Abraham 2:9-11; D&C 124:58; D&C 132:30-32).
