“Kings Shall See and Arise”
Again the promise through Joseph Smith is “that the fulness” of the gospel is to be proclaimed “by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers” (D&C 1:23). To the Nephites, Christ promised that a day would come when “kings shall shut their months at him; ... for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider” (3 Nephi 20:45; 3 Nephi 21:8).
