“The Voice of the Lord… Unto My Father”
It was for Nephi to receive revelation on the building of the ship and for his father to receive the revelation that the time had come for the family to begin their journey. In the economy of heaven revelations are granted according to one’s stewardship or right to receive it (see Teachings, p. 21). Revelations that effectually place someone in a position to manipulate or dominate others do not have heaven as their source.
