The fear of the rebellious brothers gradually gave way to a sensation of freedom from all danger. In all probability they were about to carry out their murderous plan—or, rather, make another attempt—when the Lord commanded Nephi to stretch forth his hand against them a second time, because He—the Lord—was about to give them a manifestation of his power.
