Nephi’s final words regarding his three visions of the Jews, the Nephites, and the Gentile Nations are important. Writing under the inspiration of the Spirit, he gave us all he was allowed to give, although it was a small part of what he saw (vv. 28, 30). He was shown what he had asked to see, “the things which my father saw” (1 Nephi 13:3, v. 29). He concludes with his testimony that what he had written was true (v. 30). The same Spirit can also give us that same testimony of Nephi’s words.
