We are here told that John was to write about that which Nephi saw: "The remainder of these things;" and also many things "which have been;" may refer particularly to his Gospel, which begins with the story of the "Word," the "Logos," the Son of God. He was also to write of the "end of the world" (v. 22). This refers undoubtedly to the book of Revelation. These writings were to be added to the Bible: "the book which proceeded out of the mouth of a Jew" (v. 23). See also 40.
