The promise here given is that those who do not harden their hearts but accept the Gospel will be counted among the descendants of Lehi, and, consequently, as children of the House of Israel. As members of the church, they are not Americans, Englishmen, Germans, Scandinavians, etc., but Israelites. The church, as a spiritual organization is not circumscribed by political boundaries. It is destined to fill the earth and to unite the human family into one great brotherhood.
