Nephi saw that the American Gentiles who went forth out of captivity will become a great power and the seed of Lehi will suffer widespread destruction and dislocation as the Gentiles take over the land. Nevertheless, the Lord has promised that the seed of Nephi, Sam, Jacob and Joseph which has mingled with the seed of Laman and Lemuel will not be annihilated or wiped out.
