“Lifted Up Upon the Cross”
That Jesus of Nazareth was to be crucified was known centuries before the meridian of time. Nephi here became a prophetic witness of the awful occasion some six hundred years before it occurred. Both Zenock and Neum, ancient prophets whose writings were contained on the plates of brass, likewise bore testimony of the manner of the Lord’s death (see 1 Nephi 19:10).
