Now Nephi saw in vision the ministry of Christ. It would be over 600 years in the future. It was the same ministry of Christ Lehi had seen in his second vision. Furthermore, Nephi was given part of the interpretation of his father's dream. Nephi saw the iron rod leading up to the tree of God's love. Next to it was the fountain of living water which also represented God's love. Nephi was told the iron rod was the word of God, the holy scriptures.
