“Knowest Thou the Condescension of God?”

Jana Reiss

The term condescension is used twice in Nephi’s vision, once to refer to the Father and once to Christ the Son. It depicts the vast love of God and the willingness of Christ to humble himself by being born a helpless infant. God’s love, which “sheddeth itself abroad,” is offered to all people generously.
