“I Was Caught Away in the Spirit”
Sometimes prophets and worthy men and women are “caught away” in the Spirit in the sense that they are taken into vision in order to see and hear unspeakable things. On other occasions-such as was here the case with Nephi-they are transported bodily to another place wherein they might experience those things which God desires that they experience. Such was the case with Moses (Moses 1:1), Jesus himself (JST, Matthew 4:1-11), and Philippians (Acts 8:39).
