“Caught Away in the Spirit of the Lord”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Ezekiel had a similar experience He says the Spirit lifted him up, and he heard the voice of a great "rushing" when the glory of the Lord arose from his place. The Spirit "lifted him up," and took him away. That is, he fell into a trance, after which he went to Tel-Abib, by the river Chebar, where many of the captives of Israel dwelt. And there, after seven days, the word of the Lord came to him. (2 Cor. 12:2-4) The Apostle John, too, was "in the Spirit," when he heard and saw the great visions recorded in his Revelations. Nephi was similarly favored with visions and supernatural manifestations.
