What is the meaning of “one eternal round”?

Thomas R. Valletta

Elder Bruce R. McConkie explained: “When our revelations say of Christ, ‘From eternity to eternity he is the same, and his years never fail’ (D&C 76:4), they mean that from one preexistence to the next he does not vary, his course is one eternal round. They mean, for instance, that from our premortal or preexistent state to the day when the exalted among us provide a preexistence for our spirit children, he is the same” (Promised Messiah, 166).
