“It is certain that divine messages have often been communicated to man by means of dreams” (Reynolds and Sjodahl, Commentary on the Book of Mormon, 1:24). Though it is not apparent in this case whether Lehi received two dreams or one, it is obvious that the Lord not only teaches and inspires but also gives commands “even in a dream.”
